S&p index, index funds in general. Should also put money into a regular/online savings account

If you're looking to build in the next five years or so, I'd recommend a high yield (>1.25%) savings account. Stocks don't have enough time for large compound gains, and there's a bit too much risk of losing money from a crash.

Pick a company. Decide your risk tolerance. Choose the highest yield within your risk tolerance.

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

Hi Everyone,
Any suggestions on networking in the private finance sector?
I recently transitioned from public to private sector finance to be more well-rounded and I’m having a hard time connecting with people in the space. I work for a fund admin in the digital asset space for HF & PE/VC firms and I noticed how much “bro culture” seems to impact the industry. Networking is hard enough working from home but I know how important it is to make those connections.

Hi all, recently a recruiter from Amazon reached out for an SDE 2(2+ years of exp. required) role and I'm a recent CS grad. I gave the OA (which was extremely difficult w/ 99% cut-off) and other tasks related to the OA. A few hours back, I got a call from the recruiter that I had cleared the assessment and tasks and said that they are looking for 2+ years of exp. I said I'm open to the SDE1 role and said she'll ask her colleagues. Idk what to expect now 😥 Amazon Amazon India

How do y'all interact with your students when it comes to faith and your religion? Do your students know that you're a religious person?
I'm a youth leader at one of our local churches and I often talk to students who attend church about the services we have or suggest they should bring people.
Additionally, I have also started posting short videos on my instagram where I give a little encouraging message usually accompanied by a bible verse. Just a little something to show Jesus to students.

I figured it out. The data scientist wants to be a Chief (not THE Chief, because bowls have multiple Chiefs), so he posts wacky clickbait that we all respond to, which helps him level up faster.

Does anyone feel their practice area is fun and/or exciting? I’m a commercial litigator and yes I have a wide variety of cases but it’s becoming kind of redundant. I’ve always had an interest in business, finance, investments etc. (private equity and stock market) and was wondering what practice would be best to merge the two?Any suggestions or comments on what you find to be an enjoyable practice area?
