Or LIC, queens!

Murray Hill/Kips Bay

Agree with this. Wouldn’t call it quiet.

UWS is great

I live in Kips Bay and it is fairly quiet. It’s probably more rowdy as you get to Murray Hill area

Is kips bay / Murray hill boring? What about East village instead?

Murray hill and east village are a lot of fun, just the exact opposite of quiet. I currently live in gramercy and really enjoy it because it is quiet but also a walking distance to all the great bars and restaurants in the east village.

Landed a job in NYC. As much as I want to live there and will be moving in with my partner I think the most financially savvy option is to live in Jersey city to save on the city tax. Both our salaries would definitely go up next year so moving to the city would be a huge possibility in 2022. Has anyone else started our in Jersey city first ? Is it worth it or should I just try to make it work in NYC ?
