As someone who lived IN dc for 8 years, I have to agree with arlington. The city isn’t what it used to be anymore. However, still great experiences living in the city itself if you’re set on that! I recommend Logan Circle/Shaw or Adams Morgan. Cap Hill is great too!
Second on the bottom recs!
Navy Yard
Idk why people hate on Navy Yard. It’s more affordable than other areas in DC, nice apartments, walking distance to Cap Hill, and easy access to other areas via metro. Lots of great restaurants and nice scenery with the river
Check out WashingtonianProbs on Instagram. City is def not what is used to be. I’d pick Adams Morgan or Cleveland Park (near zoo, metro, cheaper/older bldgs, not trendy but plenty of restaurants) . Welcome!
DuPont circle/ Logan circle!! Or adams Morgan
It depends on what you want and your budget. Want to be in the middle of things that are walkable? Want more peace & quiet? Want to be more frugal? What are you looking for?
Thank you AC2!
