Omakai is really good for laid back omakese. Also heard great things of naoe, still haven’t visited even though I live in Brickell key.
The thing with NAOE is its course menu includes a lot of non-sushi and non-sashimi options (menu changes, but been there three times). You won’t get nearly as much of those as you would with an omakase menu somewhere else. You’re paying for a foodie experience with NAOE rather than just the food, and having been 3 times I have no inclination for a 4th anytime soon, I think it’s good to try once. I like Omakai — doesn’t compare to the top places in Manhattan though (and I don’t think of Manhattan as the best in the country, that would be out west, but using it as a point of comparison since so many NYC transplants down here now). But Omakai is a very good option. Just be careful if they try to upsell you on sake; they tried to get me to pay for a $300+ bottle once. Uchi is better than Omakai imho for sushi and sashimi but no omakase option, unless I missed it.
Naoe
1. HIDEN
2. NAOE
But good luck getting a reservation for HIDEN, they’re booked until March.
Co-signing Omakai
Like others said, omakai is very good. The experience menu will run you around $100 per person but it was delicious. You don’t have to do it that way but I recommend if it is a special occasion
Naoe es crazy expensive, around $300 per person. Delicious but not worth it unless you value food more than money

The rice at omakai is bomb. I’ve eaten at many many omakase places in nyc and I think omakai is very worth the price. I actually prefer their 2nd highest priced version than their full on omakase
Just know seating isn’t by the sushi bar. You get a table seating and waiter or waitress brings it to you so you get omakase food but not the traditional omakase experience

I will be sure to check in then thanks!
