I bought a Manhattan prep book and worked it and took timed practice tests. Got a 740
Manhattan is where it’s at

750+ and I only did the original GMAT ones. It included the general, verbal, and quant books. I also bought the extra tessts and the quant only test.
To expand on this. Took a practice exam to get a baseline. Then studied randomly throughout the day by doing 10 practice questions out of their online test bank. Did this for around 3 months. Then taking practice exams evenly spread throughout that time with the last one 2 weeks before the actual gmat so that I could iron the last few things out.
Would advise against the expensive ($1000+) prep courses like Veritas. I did Veritas and thought it was really well put together and educational but when I took the actual test I felt Veritas prepped me in the wrong direction. Ended up doing a bunch of free practice GMATs online and retook it. Can’t remember the exact increase in score but it was decent. I felt the free online practice GMAT tests was better than Veritas.
Manhattan pre: 760,HBS
Been struggling and have tried Veritas! Was a waste for me! Wud recommend OG... Ended up doing OG and in 650 now! Verbal is still rocking my world at 30’s! 😔
Manhattan GMAT + OG
+1 for Manhattan
750 using only the official GMAT practice tests (2 included plus the 4 available to purchase). Try those out with googling wrongly answered questions before dropping $$$ on courses
Thanks all. And opinions on recorded session vs live online?
