To get that rate you might have to setup a checking account with direct deposit; otherwise the auto loan rate is 1.99%. I’ve been able to get the lowest rate without direct deposit because I have a savings account with them and I’ve asked for an exception every time I get a loan. I now have two auto loans and a HELOC with them.
Dealer can always mark up financing. However, the manufacturer on a CPO tends to offer the best financing especially if you have good credit. I’d look at the manufacturers website to make sure you are getting the best rate. Also, you can sometimes apply online before going to the dealer and that might minimize the chances of being ripped off.
Just make sure you do some research, I had some dealers try to charge me 4 or 5 percent when I was looking for myself for the same car.
