The worst part? Being terrified of expense audits 6 weeks from now.

It's happened at Accenture and other firms as well, way tonne overdramatic OP 😂

Where'd you go?

@D1 - to the point of crashing everyone's email (even those who didn't receive the thread) and then it being resurrected a week later? Even if so, I'm still glad to be done with it 😬

@KPMG1 - a startup (aka the complete opposite)

OP, in what way?

No IT support, no tools, templates, systems, processes, HR, benefits.... you know, the good life

That you Sudheer?

Admit it - you loved every minute of the email saga. And will miss it!

I wasn't on the reply all thread, sadly. Just had it crash my inbox as a final goodbye. @D2 - transparency around performance management, being valued by the company not just your project team, and actual flexibility/predictability (rather than being promised it, but denied whenever requested)...

@PWC1 - you're right. now get to use a lot of cool products that easily sync with gmail (my work account), my health benefits are essentially equivalent, 401K match is better, and I have equity. i work with a bunch of IT peeps so support is a desk (yep, I have a desk) away, and I'm not sure templates add value once you've learned what a deck should look like (plus it's 2017, so everything you could need is online). I'm 100% living the good life...and sleeping in my own bed

Fellow runners - I’ve been running 3-4x per week at about a 20-25 mile/week for the past year or so.

My questions: (1) does it make sense to take a week off and let myself rest or do other workouts (i.e. cycling) and (2) I’ve been running with the same shoes since August last year - make sense to get new ones?

Wanted to know how different is management consulting in the US via-a-vis India?

Background : working as front end consultant in India. Daily routine is opening laptop at 9AM and doing work till 10ish PM, if the project is tight (which it is in majority cases) closing laptop by 1 or 2 am. Travel depends on project. Sr Managers have no sense of personal space in most companies. Money is goood.

What’s your trick/method to speed up deck development process when it’s a last minute request from client, requires new content and you have no templates or example decks to leverage?

Im a very thorough and detailed oriented person who has trouble delivering “just enough”. Client just informed me of urgent needs that require me to deliver detailed materials by tomorrow, no existing examples for me to leverage.

I keep taking calls with companies because I get some actually good offers on LinkedIn (I work in a growing area of health tech) but I have no intention of switching companies at the moment. I like to test the market. What is the proper time to stop interviewing? I don’t want to waste anyone’s time but I’m also obviously passively willing to chat and look around at opportunities
