ATM in city center. You get the bank exchange rate and if you have waived ATM fee it costs nothing additional. Make sure to avoid Euronet ATMs as they charge a 12% conversion rate.

Not sure about actually exchanging cash though, always feels like a bad deal for me

like

Plus it’s easy. You out your ATM card in and local money comes out

Open a Schwab bank account and take money out of any atm in the world for free , plus get your bank exchange rate

ATMs are THE way to move money beteeen countries. (With the exception of Cuba). I don't want to be paying for some exchange booth's overhead costs.

We used Currency Exchange International before our most recent trip and I highly recommend them if you want to get cash stateside. We did a trip around the world and got a few hundred dollars in a ton of different currencies before we left. It was a lot cheaper than our ATM fees.

I always just use the ATM when I get there. My bank charges a $5 fee and a 3% fee (pretty standard). You can also buy it at your home bank before you and not pay any extra, but I’d rather not risk it getting stolen/lost and only take about $200 out at a time.

Are there any fundamental differences between a salary negotiation during the start (applying for the job) vs. Salary negotiation during a performance review (you’ve been employed for x time and looking for a raise). My girlfriends and I booked a non-refundable room for our New York trip coming up in a month. The reviews were ok on the booking website, but as we're reading more recent reviews on tripadvisor and google, the hotel is quite horrendous (bed bugs, mice in rooms, mold/mildew in bathroom, hair on bedsheets and towels, luggage being stolen in an unsupervised luggage area....). Is there anyway we can get a full refund for the room? I'd rather book another place before the trip than take our chances

Hey there,

I am in TAC for a fairly large networking company. I am making 48k a year with decent benefits and unlimited PTO. I love working at this company and my boss is fantastic. However, I feel as though I am being underpaid given my credentials. I have my CCNA and almost have my CWNA. I am coming up on a year at the company and want to start either negotiating higher pay or looking elsewhere. What should I do and how should I go about it?
