I’ve been working as a management consultant for 3 years in London across a range of industries. For the last 1.5 yrs I’ve been internal environmental lead. I created our sustainability strategy, tracked carbon emissions, applied for B Corp, set up company campaigns and currently looking at SBTI. I think I’ve got enough experience to shift to a sustainability consultant role but my company hasn’t set up their sustainability practice yet. Any advice of where to apply? ☺️

Is a security clearance required to work on a USDA account?

How is work life balance on DOD consulting projects? Same pace as any other government projects? Thinking of jumping from commercial.

Hi all. I’m a Major Program Manager for the Navy - 20 YOE in DoD acquisition, maxed out 15. I manage a Program Office, have managers that report to me and I work directly for for an Admiral with regular senior Pentagon engagements. Looking at private industry, what would an equitable or step up position be? My current industry counter parts are Program Managers for my program or their VPs of Programming and Plans and Engineering dependent on the topic.

Just filled out my DoD clearance application. How long does it usually take to 1. Get the temporary clearance 2. Get the full clearance?

do we maintain our clearance level if we leave our firm and go to another public sector firm?

Do you keep your clearance if you quit your organization?

Does anyone have experience exiting to federal?
I’m 1yr post MBA currently at T2 strategy consulting and received a unique chance for a non-supervisory GS-13 (not in DC). I’m curious 1) if anyone has done that how did they feel about the substantial paycut and 2) if I get bored after a few years is there any chance of exiting to something interesting?
