Theory - get from Nordstrom rack or other discount stores. Ie. Neiman Marcus last call, Bloomingdales outlet, off 5th saks
I second Nordstrom Rack! I get all my work clothes/shoes from there and Ann Taylor Factory.
J Crew has been doing amazing sales recently and I actually really like their work clothes
I enjoy browsing and have found a ton of fun stuff at therealreal (consignment designer site) — most of my work clothes now are Vince, Helmut Lang, A.L.C. and Stella McCartney but at prices that were in my budget. It’s definitely a bit of work to sift through items but I’ve found some great stuff and enjoy feeling like I “found” something (as well as the sustainability aspect).
Everlane has great basics that are not too pricey. Most stuff is also machine washable. I’ve had my “work uniform” from them for a bit for a business causal workplace (black pants, white button down, mix up the jacket/jewelry/shoes).
Theory also does some big discounts on their site at the end of a season.
I’ve posted about this place before, but PWR WMN is a female-owned small business that launched about a year ago. They’re expanding their selection, but their blazers are great quality and super functional for the price. I have three of them and they’re my favorite pieces to wear. https://www.pwrwmn.shop/

Boden has great sales too.
I like Massimo ditto!
Dutti
If you want to go really affordable, Liz Claibourne at JC Penney’s has some great tops and dresses. I wouldn’t recommend their suiting (it’s a little cheap), but some of the dresses I get the most compliments on are from there. Otherwise, I second J Crew Outlet and Loft.
