(I think a lot of these are good for families, but the itinerary is based on a couple. Recommend the Sheraton or the Disney hotel for a family)

JW Marriott in Ko Olina has a really nice and calm private bay, also a bit away from the more crowded Waikiki area. Also next to Disney’s Aulani resort if they like disney. Took ours there for character breakfast one morning. Waikiki is also pretty easy because there’s everything within walking distance. Honolulu Zoo is you want a non water activity.
Director 1 that’s not a JW, it’s a Marriott resort.
We’re staying at Marriott Waikiki in July with 2 kids under 5 because so much is within walking distance. That said we also have a rental car. My preferred option would be to spend the whole trip at the Marriott report at Aulani but the Marriott resorts don’t accept points as payment
Hmm just looked it up and guess they rebranded in 2015, looks like my advice is outdated
If staying in Waikiki, the Sheraton has a very kid friendly pool
These are helpful keep 'em coming. Any cool or exotic places to kill a few days in the rural side of the island?
1) north shore has a thai restaurant in a strip mall — amazing! Locals recommended. Chef picks your food for you.
2) Did surf lessons w my 6&9yr old boys, they loved it!
