Best portfolio site for writers?

I’m gonna get yelled at, but I really love Squarespace. So easy, a writer can do it.

I really like CargoCollective. It has a few growing pains but if you’re willing to put in a few hours to learn the nuances, the templates can look really nice.

Mine ;)

Twice a week if you recycle it forward

My site is on Wordpress and it houses my blog, portfolio, etc.

I use Adobe Portfolio and love it. Easy to use, variety of templates. I like that it’s synced with Behance because i use it as an archive

Just keep it simple. Squarespace, cargo...you’re a writer. If it’s clean and has amazing work, that’s all you need.

Squarespace for writers. No one expects you design anything for your site. It’s easy to use, clean and simple. Let your work do the heavy lifting, not your site. ADs is an entirely different story.

Personally, I hate landing on ADs pages that are exactly like the SS template. Feels lazy to me. If you can personalize it in a way that doesn’t scream template (which SS makes it hard to do), go for it.

It doesn't matter the host service. Just make it navigation friendly.

Looking for (adaptive, preferably) educational technology for ELA to be used in classrooms as both enrichment for students identified as gifted as well as re-teaching, offering helpful support for students who struggle. Has anyone found anything that does both well? Looking especially for a tool that teachers can get behind and that students enjoy/find easy to use. What do you love? What do you hate? This would be targeted to grades 1-6 primarily, but it needs a high ceiling.

Have an offer in industry. It’s a relatively new company that is growing fast and lots of opportunity to move up quickly and make a difference. Salary increase wouldn’t be large but enough to make a difference. My heart wants to do it but there is risk involved - not as much stability as the Big 4 company I work for and I’m supporting a family. What do I do? Follow my passion or stay in the safe zone given things are still up in the air with Covid? I appreciate your opinion fishes!

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?

Hi, all the tax professionals here. I have a question. My client started a business to develop a new formula in year 2013. The business failed and my client decided to abandon the business in year 2019. During year 2013 and 2018, no loss or expenses were claimed on the return. Can he claim all the loss/ expenses on year 2019 return. If yes, what the tax code or regulation can apply to this case? I appreciate your insights.
