Hey guys, i joined PwC AC Bangalore in September as an Associate 1. We did not get promoted (to Associate 2) in june like the AC Kolkata folks. However since a few days workday and AC payroll show that i am an Associate 2.

On confirming with HR, it seems that it is a "progression", not a "promotion" and that's why there is no compensation increase. Moreover, we did not even get an official email confirmation.

Is this how things have happened in the past? No compensation increase?

Anyone work in a corporate strategy role for a brokerage/dealer firm before? Think Raymond James, LPL Financial. They offered 105k base + 20% bonus (my salary is 80k rn) but curious on what you all think of the industry.

At how much money invested would it be smart to hire a financial advisor or a managed portfolio? 401k is managed by fidelity and has around 32k and my individual account for stocks is at $14k and hope to grow that one fast. I’m concerned I may end up losing too much from bad decisions or miss out because from not buying correctly. I usually research a companies financials, outlook, and some analyst papers but other than that it’s more of a gut decision to buy or sell.

Someone reached out to me via LinkedIn to do a 3 hr consulting engagement given my unique background...checks out as legit. What rate is standard for these types of things? I’m Manager level.
