Hey Googlers, I’m going in for my GCP TAM second round on Monday and had a few QQs for you all: 1. For the RRK2 case study if there is a scenario for handling peak time workloads where the client did a lift & shift of a monolithic architecture, is the best suggestion to move them to micro services to enable serverless and auto scaling features? 2. I was told that they’ll give me 15 mins to prep after the case study is shared live, would you suggest I build a 1 pager or is that not required?Google

Just started a project with an SM I have a friendly (but professional) relationship with but got an offer to another job that I’m most likely going to take. Still waiting to hear back from other offers so won’t be submitting my 2 weeks yet. Should I talk to my SM in advance? I’m worried that I may be burning a bridge given I’m the only person working on the entire workstream...

How do you balance between micromanaging & making sure your team is prepared enough for client meetings? The team I’m managing is still upskilling on the work we’re doing, but I also am unable to lead every meeting we need to have. I wish I could give them all an exact script to use in sessions with clients so we get what we need, but obviously want them to also feel empowered/learn by doing.

Since George Floyd's murder and the sudden Corporate America "wokeness," I (black guy) have been routinely contacted by unacquainted Partners who explicitly state something to the effect "Client X wants diversity, so we'd like you on this deal..." It really comes across as tone deaf and completely patronizing. I appreciate the efforts to diversity (albeit forced), but Partners really need to learn how to not be so supercilious in the approach. You don't have to overtly state that I'm the quota.

Trying to figure out what do I do if I want a new coach. Not trying to make a long post so I'll keep it short. My coach hasn't been very participative in my career and actually hindered me when we were on a project together. Even after leaving the project I tried to keep up the relationship but she just wasn't attentive during our checkins and seemed really uninterested. I know I can get a new coach but if I submit the form on Dnet is it automatic or do I have to find someone to fill the roll?
