They’re out there - but note that many in-house teams don’t work with recruiters. Assuming the company is big enough, they’ll rely on in-house recruiters. I work in the SF - Bay Area but I’m happy to look over your resume and give pointers. Feel free to DM me.

Was standing outside my office on the phone when some random lady came up to me to go inside the office and asked if I'm with the front desk. Waiting for the day people don't think I'm the receptionist, paralegal, or assistant. Ya know, anything but an attorney.

Anyone from Delhi University North Campus.. yaar I miss those days.. it’s been 17 years that I left DU, but I am still think about those golden days

🐠 that have done both parks - Is it worth doing Grand tetons for 2 days and then Glacier NP for 4 days or just explore MT/GNP for all 6 days? I know the drive is long but want to make sure we don’t miss out on Grand tetons. Options are to fly into SLC or Jackson, WY depending on which parks we decide. Skipping Yellowstone for obvious reasons.

Non Partner Track jump?
I was hired this May (during finals week) to a big law firm with a small practice group in this office. Was told I’d be NPT since I didn’t summer there. Was told there’s a small chance I could jump over “later.” Met with the head partner here and he said I’d realistically have to wait 2 years to make a jump if I even get the chance. My issue is I’m getting paid less and doing the same work/billables. Should I start looking elsewhere? Wait out? Thoughts? Have more details

Two questions would love some insight on: (1) is lateraling for significant comp increase worth it when I like the partners and cases I’m working on with current firm; and (2) thoughts on Troutman Pepper as potential landing spot? For context, I’m currently with a high-AM100 firm that has a bit of an identity crisis. Work is interesting with decent level of responsibility, but firm pays well below market. The firm preaches it’s a WLB firm, yet I’m billing 2200+ every year. Hard pill to swallow

I’ve seen a lot of posts on twitter that have a ton of rts blaming the police for criminalizing homelessness and drug addiction instead of fixing the problem...so basically the police are now the scapegoats for elected officials and prosecutors? Police brutality is on police, but blaming the police for the penal code and how much it’s enforced seems like a bs way for politicians and attorneys/judges to ignore their role and blame police for following their orders. We gotta own up to our part.

Mid level atty in a fast moving case. Earlier this year jrs brought on the team to help lessen work flow. Both partner and I delegate certain tasks, esp when we’re super busy. Junior goofed regarding deadlines (which I had to ask for twice); now partner is stressed, tho we should be able to lock in an extension. Jr took ownership of the slip up. I owned that I should have checked his work, but I feel that I hurt my rep. w partner. What to do? Lay low? Not a fan of throwing ppl under bus.
