Reselling sneakers

Used sneakers?

1. YouTube channel and amazon affiliates. Regularly pulling $600/mo, finally hit $1k last month.
2. Reselling electronics. Buy on eBay, sell on FB marketplace (and vice versa). Made a good $10k last year but it’s been harder for me to find stuff due to pandemic making people hold onto stuff.

CM1 don’t sell yourself short! 20% of success is confidence, 80% is knowing that there are freaky folks for every shape, size, gender, and species. Call it “CyberTex” and let that freak flag fly! guaranteed no one will see the typo - You got this!

I made an extra $200/week (or more) reliably selling my old clothing/shoes on Poshmark. Lately, I haven’t been as active on the site, so sales have dwindled but never stopped. I thrift to resell.

like

And you would be correct about that! It is kind of a drag. I try to pack and ship only twice a week, so that helps minimize it. Once I found a pair of Manolo Blahnik boots at a thrift store for 4.99 and resold them for $599. 😂

Prior to lockdown I noticed a lot of people talking about starting drop ship and print on demand businesses. The claim is that it’s a successful option because it’s all passive income. I haven’t spent the time fully investigating though.

like

Drop shipping got overcrowded about 4 years ago. The best opportunity results from winning the content marketing war which is anything but passive.

Source: used to do dropship and and have some friends who still do

A recruiter got me my current job 6 months ago but so far I’ve been really slow and bored. They just posted a new job that sounds interesting…if I reached out to them about it they would probably not want to help me out, right? Because they would be taking away talent from the agency they just helped?

My dream company just gave me an offer of 8k less than current. I have another offer of 5k more at a company in Philly with killer benefits and training is great. My SO got an offer for 5k less here and 6k more in Philly. She feels the same about both.
What would you do? All offers are best and final

Should you put all your savings (with the exception of emergency fund) into a down payment as a first time homebuyer? Also, if you wanted to buy a home within ~3 years, would you save everything in cash or allocate a % of equities?

Recently bought an old house and need to replace most of the windows—going to be a major expense no matter what, so I don’t wanna skimp on quality, but also am hoping that the ~$24K quote for 11 Andersen Renewal windows+installation isn’t truly necessary :-). Would really appreciate any advice from those who have been thru the process!

Pay off the car early or fund more in 401k?
New job, no prior 401k balance but late career starter at 30 so anxious about retirement. If payoff car loan, I will only be able to contribute 5k to retirement this year (no match 1st year). Car loan is 5.99% and matures 2023. I would divert what would be retirement contributions to paying off the car by Dec this year. This would free up a $540 monthly bill starting Jan 2021. What’s better, higher retirement contributions now, or pay off car now?

Asking for a friend - contributed full $6k to a ROTH IRA during 2021. Due to RSUs vesting is now above the MAGI limit to contribute to a ROTH IRA. Would the best approach be to have the contributions be reclassified to traditional, and then do a back door Roth? (Currently does not have a traditional IRA balance)
