Hey guys - does anyone have recommendations for Indian wavy 5x5 or 6x6 closures? I was going to order off of Amora Renae (https://www.amorarenaecollection.co/product/thin-swiss-lace-5x5-closure/) but they aren’t restocking. I’m still getting bundles from them, but clueless on another solid company that would have matching hair (friend is making me a wig bc of a natural hair crisis I’m having, I’m absolutely clueless when it comes to anything like this)!

In the evening I do: double cleanse. Once with elemis balm, second time with a water based face wash e.g Aesop. Then Dr Dennis gross alpha beta peel pads + CEO glow from Sunday Riley + retinol from drunk elephant. In the AM I wash my face with water + a toner (glow from pixi) + Hyaluronic acid serum from Dr. Dennis gross + Elemis day creme + supergoop sunscreen (no white cast left behind from this one!). After that I start my make up but I don’t use a primer as Ive usually hydrated my face enough and have a good base with my skin care.
Luna is lovely. It’s your face. If you’re gonna spend it’s what ppl see first.
Perfec Tone. Check them out on Instagram and YouTube. They be expensive though!
Look up herb and eden. I use their tea tree liquid soap it’s amazing
I have really gotten into K-beauty. The products are effective, yet still gentle and the prices are good. Don’t recommend buying off of amazon since fakes run rampant.
I use Cera-Ve to cleanse. And Minimo for a tumeric mask. And a facial spinning brush once a day.
Nothing fancy. But I also have Derm prescriptions to keep this in check.
I just started a routine that includes CeraVe foaming cleanser, the following products from the ordinary (niacinamide+zinc, ascorbyl glycoside, NMF), differin, and prescription azelaic acid. I have an am and pm routine with these products. It’s only been two weeks so can’t recommend anything yet. But I’ve found a few helpful resources I’ll link below, but would also recommend you to see a dermatologist.
I am really liking Kiehl’s Calendula cleanser and toning water.
Before you start switching up your products, it’s best to start small then implement new products as you’re skin gets used to them. I’ve heard St Ives is horrible for your face.
I do recommend starting with a gentle cleanser. C1 and PwC1 got it right with CeraVe. After cleansing, I use benzoyl peroxide. This was the best thing for my acne prone skin. I used the one from acne.org and have since switched to the Paula’s choice version. After benzoyl peroxide, finish with a hydrating moisturizer. I specifically use the first aid beauty ultra repair cream since I have dry skin. After you see results using a simple regimen, you can add in your chemical exfoliants (salicylic acid or an AHA) and serums which will truly make a difference in your skin. Also, please be sure you’re using an SPF! You don’t want to preserve/protect your skin. I just started using a Korean SPF from Purito and I love it.
Bolden
There are some great Black women dermatologists and estheticians on YouTube with great recs. You'll need a gentle chemical exfoliant, a serum and a good moisturizer.
Stop over exfoliating your skin which is what St Ives does and makes it worse. Also get a hydrating toner. A double cleande as mentioned is great. And look up the 60 second method. A Black woman invented it and my skin has been great since
