I’ve really lost my confidence in the last few years on some awful gigs! I’ve been @ this a decade+, produced jobs up to $1M, but just can’t get back on the horse. I need work, more freelance or staff. How do I approach a HOP for a producer or Jr role instead of a Sr? I’ve trained so many PA’s, I want mentorship too. A prior HOP had me almost running the Dept, they were so stressed but now I don’t want that pressure. Would it be so bad for your AP to have Sr prod skills?! Or let me Jr BA. Help!
Not an editors responsibility to hire talent
Wait why is the editor hiring talent.
Voice123 or Voices.com. Depending on your budget you can post a job on the “self serve” modules or work with an agent/PM on their side to manage the job for you.

If you need BA help, there are some good freelancers out there. And even ones who’ve set up something more official like ... https://joinfishbowl.com/post_9zbf7c
You can call the agents directly and they’ll do auditions for free. Abrams, CESD, Paradigm, ACM are some of the main ones.

If you have budget to do proper casting, Sound & Fury is great. Not a fan of voices.com as someone else said, its not a user friendly platform and don’t love the setup. Have also heard talent complain about it and ask us to book them direct and not go through voices
Freelance Business Affairs here - If you need assistance feel free to DM me. Your editor should not be hiring the talent.
Depending upon your needs, Janet Eisenberg is a fabulous VO casting director, not to mention absolute legend.
Thank you!
