West coast is the best coast! Arizona would probably be 4th.
Washington
Pros: low income taxes, economy is probably the best in the country, and outdoors.
Cons: Women are not what you’d hope for. Lack of supply and quality. The constant rain and darkness is like living in a cave.
Oregon
Pros: It’s cheaper than CA or Wa. Outdoors are awesome. It’s not as over crowded, but it’s getting worse.
Cons: high income tax, lack of job opportunities, still dark and rainy, except Bend. Bend has its own weather ☀️ but it’s expensive and zero economy.
California
Pros: better looking women, jobs, weather, opportunity.
Cons: high taxes, too many people, high cost to live, you trade lower quality of living for the weather. Vast majority of state is wasteland and getting worse. A lot of people are leaving for better opportunities to buy houses and better jobs elsewhere. Welfare state, if you are homeless it’s one of the best places to live.
Yep, ugliest people in the world and a lot of it is personality based. It’s bad personalities and unattractive. It’s like the island of misfit toys. I travel a lot, so I’ve got a good baseline. You can pick the worst country on a world map and the people and personalities are an improvement. I didn’t think anyone would dispute it. Women don’t like low quality women either.
Washington (Seattle)
1) Abundance of outdoors activities (hiking, skiing, kayaking, etc)
2) Strong economy, lots of job growth
3) Lots of highly educated, young people
4) Pretty solid food and drinking scene. Not quite on level of NYC or SF, but nothing to sneeze at
5) While CoL has risen and it isn't "cheap", there's a ton of headroom between it and a place like NYC, SF, Boston, etc.. Lot of newer apts which you'll have harder time finding in other places.
You should cover the cons of the area. I haven’t seen the sun in months.
Let’s be real... it’s states at either coast and nothing below the Mason Dixon
Plenty of beach but no ocean. I miss my home in California, but am learning to like AZ again
Texas
Cheap is all relative
I live in IL and the correct answer is not IL
The ward structure is at the root of Chicago’s corruption issues. Giving absolute local authority, including zoning and municipal contract approval, to 50 individuals is a recipe for disaster.
California
🤢🤮
New Jersey
The majority of people that come out of that state.....
MA. We’re home to MBB after all
Btw me mckinsey of so called McKinsey was from u Chicago.. go figure
It's crazy to me how many people are saying Texas... I have been on a project here for awhile now and booooooy did it not live up to the hype
There is no debate.. when it’s a slaughter. CA more things to do than Texas. Doesn’t mean Texas isn’t great. Texas is very cool too and has cheaper cost of living.
Hawaii
Virginia - beautiful state and the dichotomy between north and south is unlike any other (with perhaps the exception of CA & FL)
C5- More like 300 years later but yes. Definitely suspect
TEXAS, My TEXAS oh hail the mighty state!
Ewwwww 🤮
Texas
A Texan stole KPMG 9's girl 😂
Maryland
I was born in another state but grew up in Maryland. I moved away a number of years ago and I have a whole new appreciation for it. It’s a great little state with decently quick access to DC, Philly, NYC, and tons of beaches.
Florida. We live where you vacation and pay no income taxes to do it.
Also, we have way better news stories...
M12, what did you fly? I personally hated Pcola, couldn't wait to get winged and get out. I live in Jax now since I flew 60s and was stationed at Mayport.
The Republic of Texas
When the Big Igloo comes, Texas will be the best place to be. Hope I'm not travelling for a client then 😂😂😂😉😉
Alabama
Places like Missouri, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are terribly underrated. Great quality of life in terms of commute time, housing cost, crime, tax burden, etc.
Sure they’re not sexy, but is fish over 30 with families have different priorities.
Two words.. mike pence
Minnesota - best healthcare system in the world(Mayo), most fortune 500 companies per capita, great public schools, very progressive politics (the ONLY blue state in Regan's re-election)
This because you have to burn calories to survive the frigid winters.
To the people who hate California. There’s a reason why California is the most populous state in the country. Doesn’t happen by accident, certainly not because it’s boring like Texas, racist like the Deep South or cold like Alaska. Being the most populous state has its own challenges including people shitting all over it, literally and euphemistically.
You have to give credit to the film industry too for contributing to being popular and bringing in all the new waiters and waitresses waiting for their chance.
Utah. No hurricanes, no fires, no tornadoes, no homeless, no traffic jams. Jobs galore.
Are you also counting the vacancies at the Mormon church?
