This may be an elementary question, but my credit score just randomly dropped 20 points. I keep my utilization very low. Almost all of my financial transactions are on my credit card, and I pay everything off by each statement. One month I didn’t get a chance to pay everything off because there were some transactions made on my statement date that I was not able to pay off because they were listed as pending. This resulted in my utilization going up to 6%. My credit score did not change (cont).

We spoke to 200+ talents at Big tech (FAANMGS) and we were shocked about what we learned. Contrary to what people think; the product engineering folks are not that busy. They basically work about 20hrs a week. Work life balance is a fancy term used by recruiters in India in IT services sector, in a still developing economy like India it befalls on our generation to bring business provide uniterrupted services to clients sitting in developed world.
Unless the roles are reveresed and India wants similar IT services by giving hefty billing on our own timezone the term WLB is like expecting snowfall in Delhi.
For IT service people WLB is a state of mind when one has established oneself into the process.

The managing partner at my firm just announced we’re moving from 2 days a month in the office to 3 days a week and I’m pissed. None of the partners were consulted about this and there’s no logical reason for it given the type of work we do. I’m thinking of just ignoring this mandate and continuing to work from home. Is there a salary/dollar figure you'd need to be making to justify being someone who is tuned to work and emails at all hours and days? I am in a position where I can shut off in the evenings and on the weekends .. however another step up the corporate ladder would mean a nice pay increase, but the tradeoff is losing on the work-life balance front. Is there a salary you all would be comfortable to give up some work life balance? In my head that amount is $90k USD ... whats your number?
