Definitely Rice
We see lots of UT, some A&M, some Rice, some SMU, and lots of BYU (not TX) in our Houston/Dallas offices. just opened an Austin office so probably will see more UT!
I would think UT hands down
Rising Star
Obviously Rice, is this a question?
Lol, tons of folks who don’t work at MBB claiming Rice is better than UT. Not a chance.
McCombs wipes the floor with Rice. McCombs is far more selective than the overall UT.
I’m from Houston and no way would I have my kid go to Rice over UT, if they’re interested in business.
Btw, I turned down my full ride to UT to go to one of HYP, so I’m not biased at all.

Dillon Tech or TMU
UT, but still very tough.
Personally graduated 2019 from the evening program there. Few of us got interviews no offers- though I believe a handful of full timers got offers. Class of 2020 had at least 1, possibly 2, get in - no idea on the full timers though.
Full time has huge advantage b/c of heavy reliance on internship pipeline- would NOT recommend any evening, part time, or online program if you're interested in MBB. Also- if you don't hit min 700 on GMAT (really closer to 730) don't get your hopes up on even getting an interview. Any MBB on this app, please feel free to correct that last part.
Rice > McCombs (UT) > Other UT > A&M for undergrad
McCombs or Rice for MBA with a slight edge to McCombs.
Undergrad, Rice. Bschool, UT
There are colleges in TX?
D1, according to you or TX law? 😜 truth hurts
I honestly can’t tell if the UT answers are jokes lol
No I just know how good of a school Rice is
UT is ranked higher than rice across the board - undergrad, MBA, business, engineering. Feel free to check the rankings.

Random anecdote. My sister graduated from rice undergrad with a degree in biomedical engineering. Her friend was hired by McKinsey, and they paid for him to get some sort of accelerated MBA before he started working with them.
Didn’t know that kind of recruiting even existed.
No question, UT. Biased because I’m an alum, but I very nearly went to Rice for undergrad and am still a fan.
That said, if your criterion is chances at MBB (which is probably not a good way to choose undergrad) McCombs or Plan II are your best chance at placement in the South. UT sends 15-20 to MBB every year. Based on my experience, Rice sends 5, maybe 10.

Longhorns
Definitely UT for undergrad. All three have a large presence and recruit for Dallas/Houston offices.
Rice for undergrad, not sure about MBA
UT by a mile and it’s not even close
UT by far
Texas A&M and get into the Fellows program.
