Best time to move to NYC in terms of optimal rental market conditions? I have the option to move there for my job anytime from March to Sept this year. I was thinking the timing would be ideal in March due to less people moving but prices are looking pretty high, I think inventory is lower than usual due to COVID. Any insights on the best time to move?

I would say late March-May. I looked about that time last year and saw a lot of good apartments. However I couldn’t move until July and had to unfortunately deal with the summer competition.

I would put a streeteasy saved search for your desired neighborhoods and then you can just see what is becoming available.

Inventory and demand are both lowest in Q1 and highest mid-Q2 through Q3. Prices aren’t going to go down.

This is true! But recently the prices have even been high in winter months!

Hi all,
I graduated during Covid with a double major in business administration and business management with a minor in marketing and magically ended up in sales because I needed a job. I’m about to take a data analytics course to make an attempt to break into that field. I’m currently looking for a mentor to help guide me during this time. Also, if anyone is willing to look over my resume and give me tips on how to make it more presentable for recruiters in DA that would be very helpful. Thanks

Had a therapist who encouraged me to quit my job to be happy. Also encouraged me to not settle with my girlfriend because I’ll regret it (like how he regrets getting married). Ended up quitting my job and became more miserable, poor and suicidal. Haven’t seen my girlfriend due to long distance and COVID and we might break up soon. Did I just find a bad therapist or is it normal to project your own regrets to your patients?

TLDR: Getting over your ex of 2.5 years ghosting you after they said they wanted to reconnect.

I was dating someone for about 2.5 years and then we broke up because of COVID and the long distance was making it too difficult to continue. The break up must’ve been like a 4-5 minute FaceTime because I was very distraught. After we broke up, she started seeing someone else but I was heartbroken and it’s taken me over a year to really get over everything and process those feelings. (Cont.)

Hi fishes, I need advice. So I own a medium-sized business here in Ohio. In what ways are you preparing your company to survive and thrive through the next economic downturn?

It’s hard to understand COVID-19 rates of infection where I’m at or was, and the contracts was not inline with corporate ideals at least not in the IT sector. Their ideals was radical and the spread of harmful information on past events to prevent ethnicities to get vaccinated was alarming. It has highest infection rate in private sector. Don’t know death rates was strictly remote and put on non-sanctioned project NDA wasn’t signed and never knew until it came down the grapevine.
