Natures miracle. It does the job most of the time.
+1 for Natures Miracle. Also a carpet cleaner (at least a handheld one) is also a must.
I would first put several layers of paper towels over it with something heavy, like a full container of laundry detergent, on top of it to weight it down for several hours to help soak it all up out of the rug, then I’d use the cleaner.
Natures miracle, put away the rugs, and invest in a spot bot. I lay out towels everywhere (especially in beds and couches) because they’re easier to throw in the wash and help protect things somewhat. I’ve also found that putting small rugs, dog beds, etc, out in the bright sun helps a ton with smells.
Nature’s miracle and then I use a Bissell pet vac with the Bissell pet cleaner
For floors I found angry orange most effective. For carpet, soaked as much as I could with paper towels. Then sprayed nature’s miracle and let it dry out a couple of times. Then sprayed the entire rug with a mix of vinegar and water. I also did put away the rug for a few months so I didn’t have to deal with doing all of that again and only got the rug out last month after my pup turned 6 months old
Dogs tend to pee/poop on rugs because it feels most like grass on their paws.

I picked up all the rugs during potty training. It is confusing for them (my rug was also white).
Enzyme solution i found very helpful for odor, stains etc is SIMPLE (avail on Amazon).
