Backstory: I’ve seen firm softwares advertise their products saying, “You can’t bill for these tasks so you should have our software do it.” The task would be something like drafting a financial statement that is filed with the court. I’m starting a job search as I wind down my maternity leave and I have an interview for a role that says “Up to 20% travel around the US for meetings with clients” - but are people still traveling that much since Covid? Since remote work has become more common I feel like in-person meetings and travel expenses seem unnecessary. 20% of the time is once every two weeks - and I’m not sure I’m willing to do that with a newborn baby at home.
