I'm applying/attending job interviews for financial analyst type roles in industry from Big4. I don't really have an industry that I'm really passionate about. I'm paranoid that I'll exit and get stuck in a specific industry. Did any of you have issues moving between industries? How did you manage to be competitive or overcome that issue when changing industries? Thanks!
Taxes. I work in Chicago but interviewing for a remote role with a New York agency. Will I have to pay taxes in Illinois and New York? How has this worked for all of you during remote?
Anyone have any insights on Select Equity’s expertise, culture, and interviewing process? Was approached for a role and intrigued by the opportunity
@Adweek I had it again. In their obituary of Stewart altar, a great man who served the industry and his agency for his entire adult life, they refer to him as “old school editor retires’ . Ageism at its worst. I strongly urge an industrywide boycott about a week. No sneak peaks, no interviews, shut them off.
I have tried two times to get into major consukting firms but haven't even got to the case interviews. I live in Mexico but am Ecuadorian. I don't know if these firms hire foreigners. Am I wasting my time trying to get into these firms?

The waiting after you interview is the absolute worst. It's hard to judge how well you did. I doubt they make calls past 5pm on a Friday, right?
I'm looking to pivot from consulting into tech. I've gotten lots of interesting from tech companies on the ops side but am much more interested in product management. Any advice on books or courses to help make the transition? I'm struggling to land PM interviews at companies that aren't tiny startups :(
Hi fishes, Had an interview, the interviewer asked why do we need streams jdk8? Told following answers:1. It allows functional programming by filter, map, reduce way of applying operations on collections. 2. We can use intermediate operations for lazy iterations n ternary ops for finally giving out desired output, jvm can improve performance for intermediate ops. 3.reduction of code that we hv to write n ease of passing behaviour in stream function. But interviewer was not satisfied, what I missed?
Deloitte is having me on 7 interviews. This seems a bit excessive. Has anyone else experienced this?

Anyone quit B4 before lining up another job? I’ve been interviewing for a couple of roles and haven’t gotten any green lights yet but I honestly dread the thought of going back to work tomorrow.
Rejecting an offer. What’s the best way to do it? Love their work, the interviews but $ is not enough to justify the move. Help. 🙏
Does anyone have any advice regarding when I can start applying for senior engineering positions and staff engineering positions? 3/5/7 YoE? Also how much more difficult are the interview questions for these roles?
There are a couple of companies I really want to get into. Would it be weird to apply to those when I started at new job a month ago? If they give me interview they would notice i have only been at new place a month right? Or i should wait at least half year.
How is the Deals Capital Projects team at PwC? I just got an invite for the video interview
I have an interview tomorrow but am finally getting opportunities at current gig so while I still feel underpaid, I’m not eager to leave anymore. I’m afraid I’ll show that in the interview. Any tips?
So, I am Dir of People Operation presently and had a SPHR certification which I let lapse maybe 5 years ago. What value does the SHRM - SCP bring to my career at this point.

How does everyone feel about the online SHRM learning for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP for Certification? Do you skip around? Do you follow the path? Where does one start?
Got offered a SAP analyst role at Deloitte. Currently I am working at Spirit In the accounting department. I work less than 40 hours in week and make 57K. Work life balance is ELITE at spirit. The reason I applied to Deloitte was because SAP intrigues me since I’ve used at my current company and technology as a whole intrigues me and where we are headed with it in the future. How many hours will I be working over at Deloitte? Should I leave my current company for Deloitte if they offer 70k?
Im a recent grad on a tech implementation project for a small firm. I’m finding it challenging because I’m expected to know how to solution a user problem based on the system that I really don’t know all the ins and outs of. I enjoy the req gathering/PMO activities, but thinking of data mapping and integrations is such a new way of thinking than a typical strategy-based case study. Do strategy ppl find these tech implementation difficult?
Hey everyone. Recently interviewed at a registered investment advisor, 10 person shop. What’s everyone’s views on hand written thank you notes vs emails post first round interview? Both people I met with gave me their business cards without me asking which I think is a good sign. Usually like doing emails vs hand written notes because you can get a response or further conversation vs possibly not hearing anything from a hand written note.
Joined right out of undergrad and now interviewing for an early but funded start up ... does anyone have suggestions for questions to ask in final round / own research for me to "kick the tires" on the company? I feel like I don't know what I don't know!
Hi! Anyone works in Accenture/Globant/Infosys/Wipro/Everis/IBM/Deloitte or other IT services companies and can tell me how long are the maternity and paternity leaves? And any other benefits regarding these leaves. Thanks!
Do you know of any companies that are similar to Toptal or BrainTrust? Basically where once you get in, you don't necessarily have to go through full interview rounds for each new client? I'm not referring to the big consulting firms, but more for independents.
Recently interviewed with an external firm, cleared all rounds and a presentation. External HR emails me today asking “do you have few minutes to connect tomorrow” What would be the possible outcome? How does that sound, please share your thoughts 🙏🏽
Suppose there are two classes - one at a state school and one at an Ivy league school. The class at the state school is taught by a professor who went to all Ivy League schools (undergrad/masters/PhD etc) The class at the Ivy League school is taught by a professor who went to all state schools (same as above). With respect to this class only, who gets the better education; the kid at the state or Ivy League school?

Has anyone taken virtual language (Spanish) lessons this year? I'm intermediate advanced (B2) after letting my Spanish get rusty. I need structure to relearn some of the grammar and I need to practice speaking consistently. I'm thinking an hour 2x a week would be a good balance (with homework).
Most of our engagements, if not all, are targeted towards operations, digital, tech, human capital that in most cases reduces the bottom line or increases top line for the clients. The engagement sponsor is happy and goes up the ladder and gives us an even bigger pie next time. Have we truly done engagements that were for the greater good of the world, climate, water, health, society, infra, education? Would love to hear some examples.
Brand name versus type of experience. Assume experience at the brand name will be less relevant to what I want to do long-term. The “brand” in this case is not Big 4/MBB
