Had a interview call with internal HR last week, they asked me the question and my answer was: I don’t really have a number in mind yet, it’s hard to say so early in the process and I would need to have a better understanding of the role and responsibilities, but I am very interested in this position and have no doubt that If we mutually agree it’s a good fit we will be able to come to an agreement on comp. Recruiter said that made sense and gave me the range.

This is the correct answer. Hope you get paid

Internal or external? If external, ask them based on your experience and the current job market what you should expect to be offered. If internal, ask them the range for the position.

My sales lead just gave me my quota for the year. Its increased 120% from last year. I asked if my peers experienced the same increase and the answer is No because I have more experience and up for promo this year. Our bonuses are a % of quota achieved meaning it’s harder for me to get a bonus. Do you think this is fair? What would you do? For additional context, I crushed my quota last year but I feel like I’m being punished now.

PwC India Folks, heard from someone that AC Kolkata will publish hike letters next week. Please vidate this info.

Also, if i resign now/next week and my last working date is after July 31st, i can still get my hike and bonus, correct? This is written in the employee handbook and my offer letter. I would appreciate if someone who has greater insights to reconfirm this.

Im currently studying Industrial Engineering with a minor in management. I’m interviewing currently for consulting, and theres a VC course at my school that seems really interesting but I can’t fit it into my schedule without removing the last class I need for my minor. Would not getting that minor do any harm to me short or long term? Im thinking that if I end up at consulting especially no one will care about a management minor they’ll just look at the firm I worked for.

I recently interviewed for an in-house role and after the final round of interviews was informed I was rejected. However, the in-house team wants me to interview for another position. Is this common?

Landed a job in NYC. As much as I want to live there and will be moving in with my partner I think the most financially savvy option is to live in Jersey city to save on the city tax. Both our salaries would definitely go up next year so moving to the city would be a huge possibility in 2022. Has anyone else started our in Jersey city first ? Is it worth it or should I just try to make it work in NYC ?

I’m going crazy in Audit, I’m an A2. I think I’m going to try and transition to consulting.
