It depends on what kinds of tasks you want to track and how. For my own use I've been using Todoist, and I absolutely love it.
I like to do do PPT dashboards which are based on updates provided in Excel and uploaded to Sharepoint.

I mean like an agile way for project managers to track progress.... Not just create to-do lists lol. Something with some sort of chart. I already have Ms project, which seems to do the job. Was just wondering if there is something better.

But you can do the following:
1. Setup an SP as a hybrid dashboard/status update (it shows a simple dashboard and people upload their supporting details/update it)
2. Have SP as a primary status consolidator - people on different projects upload their slides and 1 person pulls it down to place in a deck. They just need to update 1 file each, and since it keeps version history, it’s an easy way to deal with multiple workstreams needing to aggregate status
3. (Advanced) you can use Excel VBA and Macros to automatically pull down status updates posted in ppt or excel onto a sharepoint, aggregate in a single deck, and/or create dashboards/notifications/automated email updates
Trello - I make my team use one for the project and it creates lots of transparency and efficiency in weekly task management. I rarely have to ask someone if they started working on Thursday’s deck
