Question for those that contribute the Max to their 401k: I’m in a role paying me 120k a year for the first time. I want to max out my 401k but am hearing that at 26 y/o, I could invest the money elsewhere and have access to it as opposed to locking it in for until I’m 60+ in small cap funds. Anyone not contribute the max and prefer it that way? Can you explain benefits and drawbacks?
