Just a few days ago I was reading that social distancing measures weren’t being taken seriously and that’s why the future is bleak.
Now this article is saying that social distancing measures were done so well that what’s happening was significantly less bad than the models predicted.
I’m glad that it’s not nearly as bad as predicted. But who’s lying: the people who said measure aren’t being followed, people who said measures are being followed better than expected, or someone else??
Can’t wait for this to be over and we have some more in-depth studies about what happened and what worked
I think everyone is trying to figure it out and the information changes every day. There’s a new hypothesis every time I check the news. The way they’re recording things is a bit weird. They recorded my friend as having it but she didn’t. So idk.

And they’re thinking herd immunity may be the reason for California’s lower than expected numbers. If Californians were exposed earlier than the rest of the country to COVID-19 the state may have had a chance to build up some herd immunity to the disease.
