Best/worst cities to practice in? I'll go first - Best: DC, Worst: Miami

Working as a Senior Accountant at Vanguard with my CPA; 3 YOE, Greater Philadelphia area. Took this job to give accounting one more try and while I don’t regret it I’m bored. Anything in finance more challenging/less box-checking? People have recommended public but I’m not interested in audit/tax or travel.

I figure if anyone can understand this, it’s you all. I feel like I’m losing my damn mind. I have always loved communications, and I’m really good at it. But lately I’m so tired of politics and toxicity that I it’s sent me into a depression tailspin, on top of a pretty severe mid-life crisis. Two and a half weeks ago, I quit my job with nothing lined up. Not the smartest thing I’ve ever done, but I kind of feel like self-preservation was at work here. I want to do work that makes a difference. ☹️

Any custom clothier recommendations in SD? Haven’t worn a suit since 2019 and would like to get a new one. I moved here from another city and would like to find someone local. Any recommendations? Also thinking about using Indochino, but their reviews or so hit / miss, it makes me nervous. Anyone have any good results to share from the SD showroom? Thanks

For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. Impromptu speaking is a nightmare. I struggle to find the right words for even the simplest things. I struggle to translate my thoughts into words.

How's everyone doing? I was on social media today and reading about the Adam Toledo video and it took me back to last June, which on top of the pain from seeing this racist system continue to win out, June was my lowest billing month and hurt my confidence about hitting hours compared to my white peers.
