Woah, haven't been to Miami before. I would've thought it has a great work culture for POC?
In my experience, Miami wasn't conducive to moving forward in my career. Felt like I hit a ceiling there as a woman of color
Pro
Best:DC. Also enjoyed NYC.
What kind of law did you practice in DC?
New York and DC have been the best for me
(I am Dominican and black) and I have been treated the best at the places I just said.
Miami is the WORST. Extremely prejudice and the “white” Hispanics see themselves as white people and talk/look down upon POC. White people there are rude. I could go on and on honestly in GREAT detail.
It is definitely doable/livable. That was just my own experience. Some colleagues of mine (Caucasian) have made a move there and loved it.
Spend time there check it out. I don’t want to discourage you haha 😂 I acknowledge my experience is a bit jaded lol

I’ve only practiced in New York. As a black divorce attorney, I like practicing in kings county (Brooklyn), Manhattan and the Bronx. Queens and Nassau county not so much
Interesting, I've never worked on divorce cases so it's news to me
Charlotte for the win
Love Charlotte.
1. New York
2. Texas (Houston)
3. DC
Top 3 for sure
I've enjoyed Memphis and NOLA more than Nashville. Those are the only markets I have any real experience in. Nashville seems like it is trying to be Atlanta or something now.
Depends what part of Nashville, the parts I've been to are very much giving Tenesse lol
