So my tattoo artist basically scammed me out of some money. I put a deposit down and the day of the tattoo he had to cancel because his daughter got sick. He’s not replying to my texts. And it’s not like this guy is a stranger, I have 20+ hours of work done by him. I paid via Apple Pay. I don’t live in the same city as the artist and don’t know when I’ll be back to that city. Is there anything I can do?

My office recently was acquired by a new owner. He's shown interest in me being his office manager. On all the documents I am the manager, yet I feel like they just gave me the title without the pay for it. Should I wait a bit longer and be patient, or should I speak up and ask for the raise?

Hello, I just had to vent a little and maybe ask for your opinion. So I’ve been working at my job for four years now and I’ve never gotten a promotion. Or do you think some are willing to take risks on candidates that they like but don't necessarily fit the bill perfectly? I haven't had success breaking out of my current function, but feel I'd be qualified to do a lot of different things if companies were just willing to take a chance on me.
