Big 4 guys, if you were to switch to a mid tier firm, which would it be?

Siegfried group is basically a staffing firm. I've not heard great things about it, however, I have heard that the pay is top dollar. If you're willing to travel 50%+ and pay is your top incentive, it can be a great fit. Definitely not a bad option to make some big $ on the transition out of public.

like

Siegfried is basically a temping agency for qualified accountants. A bunch of my friends went there after their first year as senior. Accountants in Canada make significantly less than they do in America, so lots of Canadian cpas will go to Siegfried. It allows them to get in to the American job market or make a bunch of money to bring home. I've heard the work you do there is mediocre at best, but if you're looking for a transition out of public and in to industry, while making more money, it could be for you. It's basically temp work though.

I chose Moss Adams right out of the gates on purpose (had multiple b4 offers out of school). Been there 6 years and still would recommend it to West Coasters. Especially those hoping to live in suburbs and go to one of our non metro offices.

I think it depends which market and area you are in. For me, Plant Moran.

BDO has been the only competent mid tier I've worked with. GT and RSM are auditors on some of my advisory clients and they're both shit. Granted I don't think we got their "A" teams and it's a super small sample size, but it's been my only experience win both firms and it's not been a good experience.

@ PwC 4: k lol if u cant take it dont dish it out

PwC 5 I think you may be referring to The Siegfried Group? And from what I know about them they would a great outfit to work for

Whichever was willing to pay me 6 figures with my 3 years of PA, becausr that's about the only way I'd join a mid-tier.

Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
