There are many requirements but if you want to qualify for EB1C, you need to at least have spent more than 1 year outside of US on managerial or executive capacity for the same entity. The title manager doesnât mean you qualify for it, I know senior consultants/associates who were able to get EB1C
OP- there is no eb1c visa, thatâs a gc process, you can be on work visa to apply for eb1c (H1Bor L1A)
L1A is preferred because it closely aligns with the EB1C requirements. This doesnât mean qualifying people on H1b arenât allowed to apply for EB1C, they can but itâs tougher to prove your eligibility.
Also P1 is wrong, you can apply on day 1 of your return to the US if you are eligible.

EB1 It is usually applied to people that came in a L1A type of visa and have been at least for 1 year in the US as manager or above.
It usually skips the PERM process and timing depends on country of birth of the applicant.

You have to be a manager outside of the US to be eligible to the L1A visa (transfer to US in the same company you worked for abroad). EB1C is a permanent resident process (green card).
You have to be in a manager or above position with staff under you.
