I’m on Junel FE 1/20. I started early last year and I have had no side effects. The only thing is I don’t have a period anymore and I do have cramping every now and then - nothing severe. But I personally don’t have mood swings, weight gain/loss, or anything.

I was on Junel for 4 years with PCOS. Was able to stop it this March without adverse effects and got pregnant in July. It worked so well for me. Pretty sure this is generic and was completely free with my UHC insurance.

Your on/Gyn would be your best advisor

You might be best off trying one for 3 months and seeing how it goes. While we can recommend ones that we take, our bodies are different. Be open with your doc and/or pharmacist on the side effects you’re experiencing so she/he can best recommend a new one.

You shouldn't be on here asking for advice on brands. We are not medical professionals and we don't know your patient history. BC is not something that works the same for everyone, at all. Manage that with your doctor. Get a new one if they are not listening to your complains or tailoring the treatment to you.
Please please please find a good gyn.
You would freak out in the Depression and Anxiety bowl about everyone giving suggestions for antidepressants and ADHD meds.
I’m in a Facebook group for chronic pain and it’s all suggestions for different treatments and medications. Along with encouragement for each other.
Asking for a suggestion and blindly taking a prescription off a recommendation from the internet is no where close to the same thing. OG will most likely take these suggestions and then go ask her doctor about them and learn if they would work for her...

Ewww why does IUD do that to you???

I’ve been on yasmin (and it’s generics) for years now, after trying 3 different pills that I didn’t like yasmin finally made me feel fine emotionally and physically

Yasmin made me so sick :( had to switch to Beyaz and it was better. Every body is different OP
I love lo loestrin. The idea of the least amount of hormones possible was appealing to me because I’ve been on BC for over 15 years... but now I don’t get a period at all. Maybe one-ish days every 4-5 months at max. And that’s without skipping the sugar pills.
There’s not a generic for it yet though, so make sure you insurance will cover it first.
Have also had a good experience on Lo Loestrin. I’ve been on it for about 9 years now and I almost never get a period (literally maybe one every year or two) which I LOVE, but I know that some women prefer to have one.
I got the nexaplanon under the arm and NEVER looked back 💯
