Just accepted an offer with a 10k pay reduction to leave consulting and live by the ocean. My new boss just mentioned that I can choose between 8-5pm or 9-6pm and doesn’t want me to work nights or weekends. Hello, I just had to vent a little and maybe ask for your opinion. So I’ve been working at my job for four years now and I’ve never gotten a promotion. On top of this, I do extra duties that my coworkers don’t do and struggle with the work load. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of and am not sure what to do. I feel like going to my boss and refusing to continue to do these extra tasks without extra compensation. Am I being a baby about this?
