Hello! I’m new to fishbowl and wanted to make my first post. I’m currently in the process of transitioning out of the Air Force and looking for a skillbridge opportunity in project management, preferably located in Tampa, Florida. A few companies I have on my list are Accenture, Raytheon Technologies Corporation and JPMorgan Chase What are everyone’s thoughts on those companies and how military friendly they really are?
Is Navy Federal not working for anyone else?

3 OIF deployments from 2005-2011. Unsustainable OPTEMPO for me personally so I got out.
I joined after 9/11, went to Iraq a few times. Figured (at the time) it would be over eventually. Apparently not.
Same. Twice in OEF and once in OIF. I imagine there are guys going in double digit deployments, which is nuts

Yeah I don’t think anyone expected it to drag on this long. I have an old Army buddy that’s over there now. He and I were deployed in the gulf when 9/11 occurred. He’s beyond tired.
Thats a big reason I got out, deployed 5 times with no end in site.

I invaded Afghanistan in Dec 2001 with the 13th MEU (I was a Lance then), and at the time the Marine Corps was worried the war would be over before everyone got a turn. There were a bunch of officers that didn’t get combat experience in Gulf War One whose careers suffered for it. We did like a 45 day pump and then someone came in behind us.

Yep sure is 👍🏼
We might actually have troops in Afghanistan who were conceived on leave or post tour. How wild is that?
I was in Afghanistan in 2007. While on tour, my wife gave birth to our 2nd son. He is now 13, and I just missed getting tagged to go back to Afghanistan for another tour with the Reserves. Thought it would be over a long time ago, but it continues.
