Goldman Sachs
We're usually above street, and Goldman
Don't listen to GS1. Bonuses are down from prior years. Unless you all get paid way less than GS already. Which I admit is possible.
That's not even true. Analysts are getting 1x? Anyone getting 1x lower than associate 3 and vp 1 is unlikely. Don't know anyone getting 150/150 or 175/175
^ that is completed wrong. I know all of the associate 1 numbers in my group and only 1 person sniffed 100
Are you in ibd? You said everyone got 1x. Now you're saying some. Either everyone you know is top bucket, which makes 1x possible, or you don't know what you are saying. In either case, if you are right then I should go somewhere else as I'm not getting paid enough.
Lol^
Heard trading was down at the all mighty GS this year.
Barclays bonuses down 15-20% YoY and clearly below street too... where are the greener pastures? Evercore? Not Moelis this year?
What was the highest you heard for associate 1?
At Barclays? 100
What'd you get
Felt like bonuses were higher than years past at least at the junior level
I think they're just creating a bigger spread between higher buckets and lower buckets because at Barclays everyone I know was very happy and above street / last year with over 100% of base as a bonus
I'm telling you with certainty that it's true. Also, keep in mind for associate + they changed the deferred comp setup where 67% up front and only 33% deferred. I'm sure they made a slightly downward reduction in the total amount based on that which everyone would happily accept.
Again, so you're saying the average bonus for associate 1 is 150 and associate 2 is 175?
I'm not saying that's the average I'm saying that's what some people have gotten which is higher than people's numbers in the past. Goes back to my point that I think they've widened the range compared years' past. It use to be tight and now I've heard numbers much lower than I expected but have also heard numbers higher than expected
I meant to say everyone I know was happy and above street (from what I've seen people post). Should've separated the over 100% piece from that rest of the sentence. I know some people that did certainly not everyone but there are some.
^ Same. I got 100 (which similar to what I got as a 3rd year analyst and I'm pissed). Not aware of any As1 getting more than 100...
Easy to forget you just got a $55k raise in salary. Getting the same # or slightly above isn't as bad as it seems on the surface. I'd be surprised if the highest is $100 but I haven't heard A1 stats so not sure.
