I don’t know if getting ahead is the right way to put it, but perhaps being your best or the most successful you can be? If so the following books have helped me:
From Good2Great, Blue Ocean Strategy, Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done...for managerial/ppl-oriented skills.
7 Habits of Highly Successful Ppl, How to Win Friends & Influence Ppl, StrengthsFinder, etc...self discovery/innate talents to hone and for just overall successful conduct with other humans.
Anything by John Maxwell, Jim Rohn...for inspiration with a hefty business edge (the latter’s audiobooks are great for the commute).
For more technical, I’d go by subject specifically. I can recommend some depending on what you’re after.
You may find the below helpful. I’ve read some of them and can testify there’s a good assortment here

Barking up the wrong tree, never split the difference, the innovators dilemma
I recommend all of these books
