What has been your favorite “do nothing lay on a beach” type of vacation destination? Looking for inspiration
When you’re wondering if you need marriage counseling instead of looking forward to vacation planning 😔
If I have my gmail vacation responder on and a client (or anyone) replies to an email chain I’m cc’d on, will they receive an auto-reply from me?
After giving out the two weeks, what do people usually do in those two weeks? Keep working or take PTO?
What do y’all consider an “acceptable” amount of hours of work per week? I’ll see people on here say “oh I work 55-60 per week” and others respond with “omg stop complaining you’re sooo lucky.” Meanwhile I’m here with my like 45 needing a vacation lmao
Nothing like a fire drill proposal going into a holiday weekend. I wonder how long this sat in the persons email box before he decided to get people to work on it the day before it is due?
Reading all these posts about people spending time with their crazy families this holiday makes me feel more normal. Thought my family was the only crazy one! Thanks fellow FB, keep the stories coming
Currently on PIP but have to take vacations for two and half weeks due to family issues. I’m worried if I’ll give a bad impression and fail my pip because of my vacation days. What should I do?
Is it realistic to do a Los Angeles vacation in only 4 days if traveling all the way from DC? Wife and I have 6/30 - 7/4 for a trip because work wouldn’t give her 7/5 and 7/6 off.
Starting at Accenture in the next month and was wondering if anyone who currently works there could provide the 2022 holiday list? Just wanted to make sure of the calendar before planning flights for upcoming holidays/events
How do people feel about having a PTO calendar on Google Calendar vs. a document where people just write their name and the dates when they’re out? My current team has very little to no structure so I’m trying to bring more structure. Just don’t want this to be taken as doing something very menial value add that just adds more process/stress to others
Allo, Allo....if you are a talent acquisition specialist in the pharma advertising agency arena (NY, NJ, PA, CT...) we would love to hear from you... this is for a hybrid position (remote & on site) at one of our client (a NYC digital pharma adv. agy)....salary $130K
Have wonderful holiday season
Thoughts on house prices in central London dropping once stamp duty holiday ends? I’d save about £15k by buying before June 30th, but would have to pay £6k in rent for my existing lease that runs until October, so a net saving of only £9k. I’m wondering if prices will drop far beyond that once this stamp duty holiday-induced demand dies down (and the grim economic reality of brexit and covid sets in). On the other hand, I can see more people returning to London post-pandemic, keeping prices high
How are you guys quitting over the holidays? Have a new job that starts jan 4 and I have planned vacation from dec 20-jan 4. 401k match is on dec 31. Want to give 2 weeks to allow for transition (trying to be nice but really don’t care)
My building I just moved in uses common charges for staff holiday bonus, but still sent a list of the staff and encouraged us to thank anyone who provided exceptional service. Am I still supposed to tip everyone (there are 50 of them)? Everyone did a good job but no one stood out…
So this is the first holiday season (little late) that my fiancé and I are living in a doorman bldg (late). We’re renting from a unit owner in a condo building. Question - how do we appropriately tip the staff? We received a card a month ago with 9 staff members listed. We’ve met 3 of 4 doormen, the maintenance guy, and the super. Do we just tip the 5 guys we know, a lump sum to all 9, or individual amounts for all? What’s appropriate $ amount? I work CRE but still feel so lost with this...
What was your process for hiring an Admin or Junior Advisor? How do you find a qualified person and decide between the person selling or clerical tasks?
Thoughts on chainlink (LINK)? Connecting to SWIFT for financial transactions, connecting to off chain data platforms and have some strong team members from big tech companies. They are presenting on stage at the upcoming SIBOS conference in mid October and right now aren't much higher than ICO price.
Is it possible to work in Barcelona without speaking Spanish and/or Amsterdam without speaking Dutch? Any recommendations on good agencies? Also thinking about a role at FB or YouTube or something...
Starting my routine tomorrow with 10mg vyvanse. Plan to take it from Monday to Thursday and wean off it during weekends. How long does it usually take to get accustomed and move to higher dosage?
A principal at my firm told me we did an internal diligence on Bain. Do you think the Bain partners would sell to a B4?
What do you guys think about 360i?
Having a lot of angst about my career long-term. I’m only 2 years into my career but feeling consistently anxious about whether I am making the “right” career decisions.
How do you stay humble? I’m a recent grad who landed an agency job. I’m working on big brands and we’re hiring celebs and it seems so in the clouds that I feel like I’m loosing myself. What gives?!
I tested positive for antibodies to covid19, am a universal plasma donor and still can’t give my blood to help covid-19 patients because I’ve had sex with other men recently
Attended a top 5 UG and have 1 YOE. Doing mostly public sector work right now. Hours are fine, but pay is not at all competitive and the work is slow and not interesting. Thinking of exiting to something that’s more intense and stimulating. Thoughts on next steps? Should I try to apply and lateral to a different firm that isn’t so public sector focused?
Okay disclaimer, I'm fairly new to the industry but I keep seeing posts about agencies with terrible reputations (from what I've seen so far: Vayner, Havas, Mcgarrybowen) that I had no clue were so looked down upon before getting Fishbowl. How true is it that these are resume killers? 😬
Saala ye GC ka kalesh nahi hota toh kabka industry join kar leta. Sad life doing BD + kutton ki tarah kaam. 🤦♂️
Wake up on a Sunday and the first thing I see on Twitter trending is"Civil War" along with more violent clashes in Portland, a death, people online screaming the other side is plunging us towards the point of no return.
What a great start to the day...
I want to relocate to a city that’s good for Black people, has a vibrant dating scene for 40 somethings, good for being a single mother of a toddler, affordable, where I can get a house with a pool for less than $2000. Any suggestions?
If it meets most requirements then share. I’ve lived in Houston, Philly, Chicago, LA and NYC. Don’t need to be in a big city anymore.
Wow Trump is truly amazing
After the past couple weeks, I am more convinced than ever before that President Trump is about to be re-elected. We need to come together, as one nation, after the election.
How do y'all search for income properties to invest in? Rebalanced my stock portfolio recently and took some cash out. Looking at income properties in Tier 2/3 cities that have a good rent to mortgage ratio
How does everyone maintain motivation and drive when you are consider a “high performer”? I was always underestimated in school and that drove me to show people what I was capable of and to prove them wrong. Now in my career too many times I get cushy feedback and I’ve found myself become so content and lack of motivation. I’ve asked my boss to give me constructive criticism but it’s generic. I’m wonder if there are other ways of channeling that desire to prove people wrong. Being the underdog.
Could this happen in the US of A?
