Can you be clearer with your question? Are saying your in-laws are measuring your teeth?

Unfortunately lots of Indian places still don't accept international credit cards. For online payments, I was told this is because RBI mandates OTP. I end up requesting a local relative to help. Painful unfortunately.
Btw, posting in the desi bowl will get you more relevant responses and less of confused ones 😄

payment USD - should I be embarrassed or angry?

Are you in-laws Desi? If so, makes sense haha

Thoughts on house prices in central London dropping once stamp duty holiday ends? I’d save about £15k by buying before June 30th, but would have to pay £6k in rent for my existing lease that runs until October, so a net saving of only £9k. I’m wondering if prices will drop far beyond that once this stamp duty holiday-induced demand dies down (and the grim economic reality of brexit and covid sets in). On the other hand, I can see more people returning to London post-pandemic, keeping prices high

So this is the first holiday season (little late) that my fiancé and I are living in a doorman bldg (late). We’re renting from a unit owner in a condo building. Question - how do we appropriately tip the staff? We received a card a month ago with 9 staff members listed. We’ve met 3 of 4 doormen, the maintenance guy, and the super. Do we just tip the 5 guys we know, a lump sum to all 9, or individual amounts for all? What’s appropriate $ amount? I work CRE but still feel so lost with this...

How does everyone maintain motivation and drive when you are consider a “high performer”? I was always underestimated in school and that drove me to show people what I was capable of and to prove them wrong. Now in my career too many times I get cushy feedback and I’ve found myself become so content and lack of motivation. I’ve asked my boss to give me constructive criticism but it’s generic. I’m wonder if there are other ways of channeling that desire to prove people wrong. Being the underdog.
