Booked a royal suite for hubs birthday last Nov On Royal Caribbean for mid May for Alaska. I am personally not at all concerned about Covid 19 but all these posts make me ask....bad idea?

I’m not changing any of my travel plans right now, don’t buy in to the hysteria, etc. but given that the ONE thing the government can agree on is that no one should get on a cruise ship...I wouldn’t get on a cruise ship. Family friends have gotten deferrals from cruise companies saying they can rebook any time in next 3 years.

My biggest concern would be someone on the ship having it and being forced to quarantine on the ship for 14 days.. but who knows what will happen by May

At least they’d be in the royal suite and not an inside cabin!

At the best of times cruise ships are an incubator for norovirus. Abandon ship.

Royal is allowing cancellations 48 hours before sailing for a full cruise credit through 2021. You can afford to wait a little longer and see how things shake out.

Maybe watch the news a bit. It takes one person to get sick to be quarantined on a ship for a long time.

I have a cruise in May as well and waiting. Most lines have released their policies though and will allow free rebooking or if the charge the cancellation fee it will be credited to you when eventually go on your trip

Unless things change big time by then, the last thing I would do besides kiss someone w coronavirus is get on a cruise ship right now
