I don’t get anxiety but I’ve gotten used to eating lunch/dinner together, have a chat every now and then during work hours. I feel I have my life back and less guilty about working so many hours because at least I’m there to share some part of my day with him (prior to covid, long days at the office meant leaving early (while husband still asleep) and get home late (when husband already sleeping) lol)
🤣 no I've hated working with my husband.
I did find it hard adjusting to leaving the house when I first started doing that. Driving was harder, being around people was harder.
And then it was hard adjusting to working in the office. I'd get antsy and miss not being able to go outside or snack from my fridge.
My relationship suffered during the pandemic. Too much time together and not enough novel experiences outside the day to day monotony (either together or apart). It’s so much better now that I have other things to do that make me a more complete person on my own, and time to actually miss my partner. I’m actually loving having the office back, and my firm has settled into a nice mid point of 1-2 days a week from home and most people leaving around dinner time to log back on if they need to.
That gives me hope! What are your in office hours like now?
I am looking forward to having my own office as we share an office at home. And I am a bit anxious but also excited to got to my own office. I’m taking little steps: networking in person now. Looking at renting an office and exploring possible places. But in the end I know I will be fine with this change
OP, I'm in the same boat. My husband and our two dogs are in a four-way co-dependency due to so much time together during the pandemic.
