Bottas just has to go. What a disappointing season from him.

Give the man his 2-stop and this is a very different story. They made him a human shield for Hamilton

This is what happens when you team up a talented driver with a champion/star driver. Even if they don’t publicly claim, there is always some bias between drivers. Same was true with Rosberg/ Hamilton, Max/ Daniel, Schumacher/ Massa

Alternatively, Bottas on a team where he is #1 and not just the buffer could be incredible. I think Bottas still has it (his F1 strategy brain is unreal), but really isn’t given the opportunity.

He always says he has the pace then drops off

He should be replaced by Russell

Read it on YouTube and it totally makes sense Bottas 2021 = Vettle 2020

He was fully entitled to rant at the team for not giving him his second pit stop. If he can be blamed for the Monaco pit stop shocker, nothing is off the table. I’m sure it’s tough to drive your best in such a toxic environment; he is actually a decent driver.

I’m far from a Bottas fan but what the heck is this post lol Of all the races you could criticize him harshly (and there are plenty), today is not one of them. He was yelling for what would’ve been the right strategy but was told to F off. I was glad to hear him snap at the team on radio, all signs point to him leaving Merc after this season so may as well show some teeth.

Bottas is phenomenal, Mercedes strategies are just 100% dedicated to making Ham the best, even at the sacrifice of Bottas. Also, poor guy needed a second pit. Mercedes needs to improve their car honestly, Reb Bulls car is a beast this year. I know they’ll probably replace Bottas for Russell but I don’t think Russell is a better driver or even close to Bottas, the only reason he’ll look better is bc Mercedes will have a better car next year

Russell should be the No.2 next season. Learn from Hamilton and then be ready to take the reins once it’s time. If they don’t go that route, I’d love to see what Danny Ric could do with a Mercedes.

I love Bottas aka ‘Flying Finn’ and his quali performances. Unfortunately looks like its his last season with Mercedes. That mistake just before Verstappen overtook him separates him from the likes of HAM and VER. With Perez bringing the fight, Merc would want a better number 2.

I think RBR will won the constructors mainly because Perez is better than Bottas. But signing a driver is damned hard even for Merc and RBR. The teams will always back the driver best positioned to win a race or championship. So Lewis gets the preferred strategy as a result of quali or championship position. Who was a better alternative for 2021? Russell might be more talented, but is he ready for a top tier seat? At the same time Perez was unsigned at the end of the season and Horner took the plunge on him - maybe the best decision related to the 2021 season so far. Bottas was the right guy for 2021 and he may still help Merc win the title. He’s not the #2 guy going forward.

“ I think RBR will win the constructors mainly because Perez is better than Bottas…” exactly my point. He was good enough when RBR were figuring out Gasly/Albon/Kvyat situation. But Perez has turned everything on it head after first 5 races. Only when the competition is good we started seeing chinks is mercedes’ armor (second driver, strategy etc.)

All- I have some friends who work at Bain and the more I hear about the place, the more I want to eventually work there. The issue is that my credentials aren’t the best. I will have an MBA from a T15 college in about 2 years time, I have 6 years of experience in analytics consulting, mostly at small firms and startups. I guess I wanted to ask the golden question, do I really have a chance at getting into Bain? If so, how should I plan this out?
