Get a drone (doesn't have to be one of the super fancy ones). My bf loved it - tech + outside

Clark’s wallabees or UO Chelsea boots. As a guy who likes going out, I️ never have enough shoes to vary outfits much

like

2nd the drone. There's one at every price point. It's cool, techy, outdoorsy fun

like

Help him get more into tech

Buy an experience like concert tickets or live demo of an entrepreneur he likes! Or hiking boots if he’s in outdoorsy things like hiking

My boyfriend is exactly the same. Get him tickets to a show he’s been wanting to go to and be his date. My boyfriend appreciates stuff like that way more than when I buy him actual presents

Food.

Barbour jacket

Can’t beat a getaway weekend around a live show in a fun city...memory maker trumps a tangible gift every time

Drone, go-pro, Suunto watch with all the gps/fitness monitor bells and whistles

Ugh, just got rejected from a senior level big tech opportunity. 4 month hiring process, multiple rescheduled interview days and no-shows, 10+ interviews in the end, multiple take home assessments, and took 2 days off work for the final round of interviews. Very frustrating and feel like they wasted my time in the end. Just a shambolic interview process in which I felt like a placeholder till they found who they really wanted.

I know I'm not a morning person because besides loving to stay up late and sleep in, I never eat breakfast because I naturally don't feel hungry until I've been awake for at least a few hours. So noon or later is usually my first meal of the day. Anyone else?

Second year considering leaving NY biglaw for a few public interest options. Partly for mental health reasons. Making market, and I would potentially leave for a starting position offering around / a bit over $80k. Holding out currently to see what else arises. Fortunately I don’t have much debt, and that’s enough to cover my basic rent/living expenses, but not by much. Has anyone made a jump like that before? How did you manage financially if so? Living in this city ain’t cheap🙃
