HELL NO. I hate going to the gym, too. I’ve lost 30 lbs while just eating better and working out at home.
Try out the 21 day meal plan - you mostly eat lean meats and lots of veggies, and there’s a great quick microwave recipe for bread.
I’m doing Shaun T’s Transform 20, going for walks, drinking lots of water and Zumba from YouTube videos. You can DEFINITELY lose weight working out at home. Getting a FitBit for me helped myself keep accountable. I also try to walk around in my apartment or outside while on calls if I don’t have to be on video.
Let me know if you need someone to help motivate you! That helps a lot, too. :) YOU GOT THIS.
Sounds silly to me?
I lost 25 lbs since last summer (half of it in the early months of quarantine). I have only been working out at home and outside as gyms have been shut down this whole time.
So the answer is: you are better able to get fit at home vs a gym, now more than ever, bc of all the virtual classes and other tools available to you due to a rise in the availability of these services related to the pandemic.

I’ve lost 20 pounds this year by eating healthier and working out at home and outside. I hate going to the gym and always have. Do what works for you.
I do Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home videos - some include light weights. For now, it is good enough. I will eventually have to get to the gym as winter begins, as I also walk/jog outdoors.

I like those videos too!!
I don’t like going to the gym either, which is why I’ll say two things have worked well for me:
1. Noom - lost 30lbs without exercising just by having a better understanding of what I was putting in my pie hole lol
2. https://www.youtube.com/c/toneitup
Same question
Your diet (what you eat, when you eat it and how much of it you eat) is a much bigger factor in weight loss and gain than exercise is.
What’s your home setup like ?
Second that. What do you have at home and/or are you willing to purchase some basics?
And there are absolutely plenty of at home workouts you could do, both to build muscle and lose fat. You just need to find a way to progressively overload your muscles (e.g., not continuously be able to do 30+ reps of whatever you're doing).

I only workout at home. I have a barbell, kettlebell, rower, speed bag, and dumbbells.
