What are you into? how old? there's an agency after hours every Thurs at virgin hotel. Happy to grab a drink after work one of these days or lunch in the loop. fishbowlacd@gmail.com and welcome!
Thank you! I’m in my late 20s
River north and wrigleyville are most popular for mid 20s. Recommend buying a heavy winter coat and fleece lined pants. May be hard to meet people during the colder months but Chicago people are always social and friendly. Be yourself and you’ll find your niche in the city!
When I moved to the city a few years ago I volunteered for a couple groups, and looked into joining an associate board for a nonprofit. During the summer, there will be 1000x more sports leagues/events to meet people, but I moved here in January and used that approach. If you want to get coffee, HMU! 😊
Logan Square/Wicker Park/Bucktown are where most agency people in their 20s/30s hang out. Better bars, breweries, shopping, concerts in those areas.
The lake path is nice for helping yourself get acquainted with the more scenic parts of
the city.
The MCA (Museum Of Contemporary Art) and Chicago Institute of Art are worth checking out.
Check out The Other Art Fair, Expo and Renegade if you’re into good local/regional art and culture.
How old are ya?
Late 20s!
New York.
Nah. Easier to meet nice, down to earth people in Chicago.
