We are talking about spending TRILLIONS on more stimulus. We are in no position to help anyone.

I’m going to say no. We need to tend to our own terrible issues first. We can’t help others if we can’t even help ourselves.
Did they ask for help?
The US is not leader of other countries. The government has little to no control of what happens within its own boundaries - and over the past 20 years, everywhere the US interfered (it’s not help, it’s interfering in a country’s sovereignty) it just extended the issues and caused more problems.
The US is incapable of helping, China certainly might though

I don’t think Zimbabwe can be helped at this point, I’m not being mean or selfish. I’m from Zimbabwe and they’ve been bailed out quite a few times but there is so much corruption among the elected officials, so much such that the general population hardly receives any aid provided. It’s a sad situation but sending any help will just be stuffing the pockets of greedy, selfish, evil bastards.

Exactly.. Brazil is the same. No amount of financial aid would actually help, our problem is with the elected officials. They would find a way to screw things again.
I think this has shown that when there’s an issue that affects everyone, every country is really on its own in the world. I hope it’ll be a point of reflection for politicians after this is over - British here and we really don’t have enough of our own resources to survive without trading with the rest of the world

Did Brazil pay the taxes being used to procure those things? Nope
No. Can not engage in nation building abroad when we have our own people to take care of at home.
Ehhh fuck it I'll argue otherwise.
Now is the time for the US to assert global leadership by helping the nations in need. Yes, it'll require more money to pull off and this doesn't mean that we give up helping people at home, but a long term investment in helping others means that the US's image as a global superpower stays intact. That position, which it had held since WW2 is critical to push back against China's Communist Party's stance to become the next global influencer. More than money, the US stands to lose even more by ceding it's leadership position now.
Let any requests go through World Bank/IMF
