Spectra
Spectra, the upgraded one with the rechargeable battery.
I loved my medals free style flex. I had to pay 180 after insurance. It’s super light and rechargeable. I was able to move around while pumping wearing the pumping bra. It’s not private like the willow or elvive, but it was just me my husband and baby at home. At work I brought a nursing cover to put over.
I had blue and pink Spectra, tried Madela and then bought Elvie ( I have three little kids).
- Hated Elvie - sooo much hassle and it pumped half of the time and less than the regular pump
- concluded that the he blue Spectra is the Best! Always reliable, long lasting charge and mobile for the car
Spectra was my favourite by far
I really liked the Elvie! Insurance only paid for $100 but it was so nice being able to move around while pumping
I hated the elvie. I’d say my friends were 50/50 on liking theirs. Elvies and willows are nice to have pumps, but if you’re only getting one, I’d go with a standard plug into the wall option before you invest in one that may or may not work for you - if you’re exclusively pumping or have a lot of supply or struggle to extract, these take a lot of time to get to work right (if ever)
The highest rated normal plug in ones are the Spectra S2 and Medela Pump in Style Advance. Even split preference I think but both really high quality and often covered by insurance, and I’ve never heard someone say they didn’t like theirs for either
Loved my Willow!
This is so helpful, thank you!!
I have the spectra and a Medela freestyle flex. I rarely use my spectra bc I love the Medela so much. I found it easier to clean too.
I second the medela
I loved this tiny one off Amazon with spectra parts or freemie cups for my on the go pumps. I traveled halfway across the country with it and it worked amazing. Called bellababy. I used a medela sonata at home and it was good to establish supply when my baby couldn’t latch but not very portable and leaked if I moved too much. I hated the spectra.
Spectra! Wish I got the upgraded one tho for mobility
If you don’t have your own office or a dedicated space, definitely something cordless. I rotated between an office and a conference room, but if those were both taken, I would have gladly taken my pump to a restroom (I know the employer has to provide a space, but we have many very nice and comfortable ones in my building) but I was limited due to having to plug in. I have the Motif Luna and was otherwise very happy with it (they’ve since rolled out a cordless option). Covered by insurance through Aeroflow
