Of the 3, the IWC easily
Not a fan of Breitlings. AT isn’t very interesting and I would get bored of it quickly. Like the pilot design. Better if on a strap. Plus it has a chrono function
Or IWC Pilot? Narrowed it down to these three and looking to pull the trigger soon when I’ve finally saved up.
Also - the Breitling I tried on is the centennial edition not the basic premier I’ve mentioned. Looks similar though.
I like the AT out of those three. The jumping hour hand on the new ones is also awesome for changing time zones during travel
Omega > IWC > Over priced junk
Iwc. What level are you op?
Right out of the gate SA1. Consultant.
I’d go IWC of those 3 on your wrist
It’s funny. For my wedding gift, these were my EXACT 3 options. I chose the aqua terra, but in hindsight I really loved the look of the IWC pilot + leather band a lot more
That’s hilarious! A good three choices I must say. Not looking for a leather band as it’s my first watch.
I don’t have any experience with the Breitling, but we carried IWC and Omega where I worked last year. The Omega is easily the superior movement, but the black dial design leaves most people a little flat. The best one to get, in my opinion, is the Ryder Cup version. It comes with a bracelet, and the heat blued hands really pop against the white dial. The ATs have a five year warranty and a ten year service interval, are almost complexly a-magnetic, have good water resistance, and are incredibly versatile.
I almost bought the IWC but it’s a little on the large side. That said, it’s amazing and probably the best looking of the three. It also has the push button micro adjust bracelet, which is awesome.
The Breitling is attractive, but Breitling is a brand that’s falling and trying to find their way. No shame if that’s the one that sings to your heart; it just won’t get the same appreciation as the other two from other watch fans, and it probably won’t hold its value all that well
SM AT
Not really a fan of the Aqua Terra, given its style, I feel it should be a couple mm smaller; but I have say it looks phenomenal next to that white dress shirt cuff.
I would pick the IWC Pilot over the Breitling.
As alternatives, have you considered Rolex Explorer or Zenith El Primero?
It truly does. I’m just trying to understand IWC’s popularity. I mean aesthetically it looks very pleasing, but what places it higher than the omega or Breitling? Not a huge fan of the Zenith, and I’m not really a Rolex kind of guy.
Been eyeing the AT myself but the first two would be my picks. Good luck!
Appreciate all the comments - at this point I just just gotta to with my heart. Unless there are any big differences between the three watches
Aqua terra
aqua terra between those two
