I'm new to the points game....How does hotel status work at the beginning of the year if you've had status the year before? I find it hard to believe that no one has Marriott status come Jan.

I absolutely hate traveling but my team has been traveling a lot more often. Is this the norm on other teams? Is it bad if I try to opt out of travel?

What have y'all done with cards after you got the sign-up bonus, but it just wasn't worth spending more on the card? A few months ago, I cancelled my Marriot Bonvoy card because Bonvoy points are worthless compared to airline points on other cards. Any reason I should have kept it?

When traveling for work can we use our personal credit card for expenses or do we have to use the corporate Amex? Also does our corporate Amex get points/perks that we can use for personal usage? At my fiancés company they are able to use a personal card (which then they get all the points and perks) and then just expensive to they company.

Serious question….with all of the pressure on the tech sector, companies freezing hiring, stocks down, companies cutting costs, how are things over in salesforce services? There is a lot of momentum overall for the services side of here economy (relative basis) in the US but a services division of a tech product company may be another matter. I hear salesforce is already slashing spending, cutting travel, etc. would value any views especially from the inside.
