Broke up during school and now that I started working seems like there’s no time to date and no where to meet people. I want to start dating and hopefully meet someone serious. (The pandemic doesn’t help), but how do you you meet someone after graduated or start working?

Friends of friends is probably the only move. Dating apps are a game of chicken—pretty much going to lose one way or another.

I don’t get how dating app work! Been on there for a while, but where is that the one? Or at least share the some similar value? Am I dreaming or am I just unlucky?

Apps. Tinder and the usual suspects. Grindr if you swing that way.

In person activities (sports, hobbies, volunteering, etc) are better for platonic friends, but sometimes romance starts too. But those activities may be cancelled for now.

Dating apps. V hit or miss, but I’ve had several relationships come out of them. It helps that the intention is clear, and I can find potentials on my own time.

Other suggestions: meetup groups, friends of friends, hobbies, gyms or grocery stores. Definitely going to be harder in COVID times and everyone masked up 🤣

I think I need to start by not friend zoning all the people I know 😂

See if friends can hook you up with their friends

Tend to friend zone those area! Why do they find me to be comfortable and easy to get along ? Like I’m not complaining, but I’m definitely open to more than friend 🤦‍♀️

I feel this: got dumped a year ago after graduating and haven’t been really looking to date but damn is it hard to get started again

I’m on the same boat! My parents keep asking me when I’m ready to settle. Like I don’t even have a boyfriend or who I like yet (sigh)

Friends, hobbies, and dating apps. I’m 10 years out of college and met my boyfriend on Coffee Meets Bagel.

Hahahaha I would not for now cause they keep jumping to marriage before I even date the guy😂 how was the CMB experience for you? Like was he one out of 100 odd?

Join a softball, kickball etc. league or do what Koreans do and join a church!

Is it common in the industry for licensed insurance agents to not get any commissions on a referral in which you personally write the policy? Ex: If a current client refers a prospect to our team, I would not receive commission. Additionally, if I write a policy for friends/family I would get a small incentive but it’s a fraction of the commission producers make.
Management is considering changing this going forward. However, I’m not sure how I should react if they keep things how they are now.

Seen a lot of commentary on here on how Asians don’t typically support one another professionally compared to other minorities (e.g. African, Indian) and ‘groups’ (e.g. white men).

I think a lot of what drives it is the way Asian parents talk about their kids amongst other parents like it’s a competition. Perhaps my childhood experience was isolated, but I don’t think it is.

I think it’s a massive shame, and we should do better to support one another.

Inb4 favouritism. Everyone else does it.

Anyone else's parents constantly reminding them to be more connected to work? My parents keep reminding me to look at work-related things on weekends. Every conversation has to be related to work.
